Product History & Significance:This is a guaranteed original, die-stamped white metal cap badge for The Toronto Scottish Regiment, an elite infantry unit of the Canadian Army formalized in 1921.
The design beautifully honors the lineage of the 75th (Mississauga) Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF), proudly displaying their First World War battle honors “BELGIUM FRANCE 1916–1919” alongside the inspiring regimental motto “CARRY ON”.This prominent, oversized insignia was worn by other ranks on their traditional Scottish Glengarry hats.
During the Second World War, the 1st Battalion mobilized and deployed to Europe, serving extensively as a vital machine gun and support unit from the Dieppe Raid in 1942 all the way through the Northwest Europe campaign following the D-Day landings. It serves as a fantastic representative piece for any collection of Canadian or Commonwealth WWII insignia.
