Item History
The 5th London Brigade, Royal Field Artillery was a dedicated Territorial Force unit formed in South London prior to the outbreak of the First World War. Upon mobilization for WW1 in 1914, these part-time volunteer artillerymen were integrated into frontline divisions, providing crucial mobile artillery support and operating heavy field guns across the Western Front. This highly distinct white-metal badge was proudly worn by regional London brigades during this specific early 20th-century wartime window, making genuine surviving 3-lug variants exceptionally sought after.
