Genuine British Army WWII Militaria – Collectible Cavalry Cap Badge
Up for sale is an authentic, original World War II era brass cap badge for the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards. This striking cavalry badge is designed as an 8-pointed star. The central circular garter carries the proud regimental motto “QUIS SEPARABIT”. The very bottom is inscribed with the Roman numerals “MCMXXII” (1922) celebrating the historic amalgamation date of the regiment.
The reverse side is complete with its original twin loop/lug fastening system and includes a vintage brass split cotter pin. This is an exceptional, untouched piece of wartime armored cavalry history.

The 4th/7th Dragoon Guards in World War II
The 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards served as an armored regiment during World War II. They landed in France in 1939 with the British Expeditionary Force and fought valiantly during the retreat to Dunkirk. Most famously, the regiment was equipped with specialized amphibious Duplex Drive (DD) Sherman tanks on D-Day (June 6, 1944), being among the very first armored units to land on King Beach during the invasion of Normandy.
