Formed during World War I (circa 1914–1918), the Volunteer Training Corps (V.T.C.) was a citizen home defence instruction unit comprised of men who were ineligible for front-line military service. This badge represents the local Lancashire-area unit and features the classic King’s Crown design from the Great War era.
