Up for sale is a genuine, original official matchday programme from the European Championship qualifying fixture between England and Northern Ireland, played under the floodlights at Wembley Stadium in November 1967.
This is a spectacular piece of British footballing history. The squad features a legendary clash of titans. The Northern Ireland player profile and lineup section features the iconic Manchester United superstar George Best (noted as just 21 years old at the time!), alongside greats like Pat Jennings and Terry Neill. The England side features the core of the legendary 1966 World Cup-winning squad, including Bobby Moore, Gordon Banks, Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst, and Alan Ball.
The programme includes comprehensive European Championship qualification tables, deep-dive historical records of head-to-head matches between the sides dating back to 1882, an article by Brian Glanville, and classic full-page vintage advertisements for Double Diamond, Cadets cigarettes, and Bovril on the back cover.
