Up for sale is a genuine, original 1970 vintage football programme from the historic British Home International Championship match between England and Northern Ireland at Wembley Stadium.
This match was a crucial part of Sir Alf Ramsey’s final warm-ups before the squad departed for the Mexico 1970 World Cup. It features a star-studded lineup including iconic Manchester United legend George Best starting for Northern Ireland alongside legendary keeper Pat Jennings, facing off against England icons like Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst, and Gordon Banks.
This beautifully preserved piece of 1970s football memorabilia includes a “Mexico Build-up” feature by Roy Peskett, retro advertisements (Embassy cigarettes, Radio Times, Bovril), a Top Ten Quiz, player squad breakdowns, and the full center-page team line-ups.
