Item description
Up for sale is a rare, original vintage theatre programme for the 1958 West End production of “Auntie Mame” at London’s historic Adelphi Theatre. This production marked the iconic UK premiere of the show, starring the legendary Beatrice Lillie in the title role alongside Florence Desmond.
The piece serves as an exceptional time capsule of late 1950s London theatre culture. Beyond full production cast details and a scene synopsis, the pages feature beautiful vintage advertising from the era, including ads for TWA Jetstream flights, Jaeger fashion, Bear Brand nylons, and classic London nightspots like Murray’s Cabaret Club and the Zodiac Cocktail Bar.
