Description
This striking 20th-century vintage table lamp base is crafted from a beautifully spun brass urn vase. The exterior is completely adorned with incredibly intricate, hand-etched and chased arabesque patterns, floral panels, and traditional geometric border galleries. The recessed details are accented with black lacquered enamel to contrast beautifully against the polished golden brass body.
The vase features a flared trumpet neck with a custom-fit brass top lid insert that securely houses the bulb socket. A pre-drilled wire exit hole sits cleanly at the lower back of the base, making it incredibly easy to thread your own choice of modern inline-switch cable to match your room style. Its classical urn profile and rich, detailed artistry make it a magnificent decorative statement piece for a bohemian living room, eclectic sideboard, or global-inspired bedroom decor.

Item History
Dating from the mid-to-late 20th century, these ornamental brass urn lamps were masterfully hand-crafted using historic metalworking traditions. Originally starting life as hand-hammered decorative vases or water vessels, these premium brass pieces were highly popular imports to the West, where they were fitted with high-quality brass lamp collars to serve as luxury decorative household lighting.
