Product Overview: Offered here is an authentic Victorian 4th Queen’s Own Hussars cap badge, featuring the distinctive Queen Victoria Crown (QVC). This original bi-metal piece (brass/gilding metal with white metal “IV”) dates to the late 19th century (c. 1896–1901) and would have been worn during the Boer War era.

Material: Bi-Metal (White metal Roman numeral “IV” on a gilding metal base).

Fitting: Original 2 Lugs (Loops) to the reverse.

History Note: The 4th Hussars have a storied history, including service in the Charge of the Light Brigade (as the 4th Light Dragoons) and later as the regiment where Winston Churchill was commissioned as a cornet in 1895.
