An exceptional, large-scale original Scottish regimental Gordon Highlanders Piper’s Plaid Brooch. Measuring a substantial 88mm in diameter, this striking circular brooch features the iconic central crest: a stag’s head emerging from a crown, framed by a wreath of ivy leaves.
The surrounding scrolls proudly display the regiment’s legendary historic battle honors: Peninsula, Waterloo, India, and Egypt. The back features the classic heavy-duty pinning assembly meant to secure thick tartan cloth on a ceremonial shoulder plaid. A highly collectible piece of Scottish military dress hardware.
