Detailed Description

Materials: The lamp is constructed from genuine onyx stone, prized for its translucency and natural “marbled” appearance. The metal components are cast brass with decorative floral and acanthus leaf motifs.

Stone Coloration: It features a “Peppermint” or multi-colored onyx, showing a blend of pale sage green and a deep reddish-brown (often called “banded onyx”).

Design Elements: The Stem: A slender, tapered onyx column flanked by ornate brass “ormolu” style collars.

The Base: A circular, polished onyx plinth supported by a flared brass decorative foot.

Fitting: A standard brass bayonet (B22) bulb holder at the top.

Era: These were common high-end household items produced between the 1950s and late 1970s, often imported to the UK from Italy.
