Item Description – This vintage heavy solid brass cigar ashtray features an embossed design of a pheasant bird nestled among oak leaves. It has a beautiful scalloped edge profile and features four integrated cigar rests around the rim. It can also function beautifully as a decorative trinket dish or catchall tray.
The reverse side is stamped with the authentic French maker marks DEPOSE, D.L., and design catalogue number N° 22.
Dimensions: Length: 18 cm…..Width: 14 cm…..Height: 2.5 cm….Weight: 400g.

History – This embossed hunting-themed brassware is a registered design produced by the D.L foundry in France during the mid-20th century. Stamped with固定 Déposé and design number 22 to protect its design rights, this pheasant and oak foliage pattern was popular for traditional French smoking rooms, country lodges, and gentleman’s study decor.
