Up for sale is an incredibly rare and authentic piece of Edwardian London West End history. This original souvenir programme is from Tuesday, 5th May 1903, at Wyndham’s Theatre, Charing Cross Road, under the personal management of legendary actor-manager Sir Charles Wyndham and Frank Curzon.
The program captures a fascinating double-bill performance from the early Edwardian era. The evening opened with Glaphra, a comedietta by celebrated playwright Alfred Sutro. This was followed by the main three-act comedy production, The Democrats. The inner cast bill features prominent stage actors of the time, including Frank Atherley, Arthur Wontner, George Giddens, and Charlotte Granville.
The inner pages are beautifully decorated with crisp Edwardian typesetting and outstanding period business advertisements. These include prominent slots for Chappell and Co Pianofortes, Keith Prowse and Co Theatre Ticket Agents, Junora Wine Tonic, and a large advertisement for Paquin Parisian Dressmakers of Mayfair. This is an exceptional find for serious collectors of theatre archives, early Edwardian ephemera, or London cultural history.

- The soft blue cover features an original red circular office or date stamp on the right side.
- Presents natural uniform paper toning, vertical fold lines, and minor creasing along the edges.
