Antique 1910 Wyndhams Theatre Programme Nobodys Daughter Gerald du Maurier London
Up for sale is a rare, completely authentic piece of late Edwardian London West End history. This original souvenir programme documents the Wednesday, 7th December 1910 performance of the highly successful play Nobody’s Daughter at Wyndham’s Theatre on Charing Cross Road.
The production was staged under the legendary joint management of Frank Curzon and the iconic actor-manager Gerald du Maurier. The inner cast page showcases a phenomenal billing of early 20th-century British stage stars, including Gerald du Maurier himself in the role of John Frampton, alongside Sydney Valentine, Lilian Braithwaite, Ronald Squire, and Rosalie Toller.
The interior pages feature crisp, classic period typography framed by vintage business advertisements of the era. These include side-panel slots for Criterion Theatre tickets, Chappell Pianofortes, Abdulla Cigarettes, and a dedicated promotion for Decca Dulcephone portable gramophones.
