You are purchasing vintage & original programme 1920s antique theatre programme from the historic Theatre Royal, Nottingham (under the management of Thos. W. Bindle).
This exceptional playbill is for George Bernard Shaw’s masterwork “Saint Joan” starring the legendary Dame Sybil Thorndike, for whom the title role was originally written.
This historic programme is incredibly rare and desirable for film and theatre historians alike, as the touring cast features incredible early-career stage roles for future iconic Hollywood actors:
• A young Jack Hawkins (playing both Dunois’ Page and D’Estivet)
• A young Raymond Massey (playing both De Courcelles and The Executioner)
