Up for sale is an authentic, rare piece of Golden Age cinema history. This is an original Mexican movie lobby card measuring 33 x 41 cm, distributed by Distribuidora Rivero for the regional release of the 1947 Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour comedy noir spoof, My Favorite Brunette, retitled in Spanish as El Gran Detective.
Up for sale is an authentic, rare piece of Golden Age cinema history. This is an original Mexican movie lobby card measuring 33 x 41 cm, distributed by Distribuidora Rivero for the regional release of the 1947 Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour comedy noir spoof, My Favorite Brunette, retitled in Spanish as El Gran Detective.
Unlike standard American lobby cards, Mexican cards from this era feature a unique design style with extensive, vibrant regional lithograph artwork surrounding a smaller window displaying a classic black-and-white movie still. The bottom left features a short plot synopsis in Spanish. The reverse side is entirely blank, featuring the natural brown grain of the vintage paper stock.

It features edge tears, corner creases, minor paper loss on the upper margins, and light staining consistent with 1940s theater ephemera.
