Item description
Up for sale is an original vintage theatre programme for the musical romance production of Carissima, with book and lyrics by Eric Maschwitz and music composed by Hans May.
This authentic piece of theatrical ephemera details a performance from the original hit West End run at the Palace Theatre, London, which opened in March 1948 and was presented by Lee Ephraim. Featuring a beautifully illustrated mid-century cover depicting a Venetian gondola scene, it is a wonderful item for collectors of vintage West End memorabilia, musical theatre history, or period ephemera.
