An original, vintage 1954 theatre programme from the historic Alexandra Theatre on Station Street in Birmingham. This beautifully preserved document chronicles the two-week run commencing Monday, 7th June, 1954, of the Alexandra Repertory Company’s presentation of “Meet Mr. Callaghan,” adapted by Gerald Verner from Peter Cheyney’s famous detective novel “The Urgent Hangman.” The surrounding layout features exceptional mid-century local Birmingham corporate advertisements, including Davenports Ales and Peter Marsh Lamps.

- Details: Very good vintage condition for its 70+ year age. The cream-toned paper displays light, natural age-toning along the borders, but remains entirely clean and free from modern pen markings, text highlights, or water damage. The central binding folds are completely intact, and all printed text and retro advertisement typography remain crisp, dark, and highly legible throughout.
