An original, vintage 1954 theatre programme from the historic Alexandra Theatre on Station Street in Birmingham. This beautifully preserved document chronicles the two-week run commencing Monday, 21st June, 1954, of the Alexandra Repertory Company’s presentation of Charles Morgan’s powerful play, “The Flashing Stream.” The comprehensive cast sheet captures a notable mid-century ensemble under Managing Director Derek Salberg. The surrounding layout features exceptional mid-century local Birmingham corporate advertisements, including Davenports Ales and Peter Marsh Lamps.
