You are purchasing very collectible & Original vintage theatre programme An original, vintage 1961 theatre programme from the historic Theatre Royal on Grey Street in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. This historic programme records the week commencing Monday, 3rd April, 1961 performance of Jean-Paul Sartre’s gripping drama “Altona” (adapted by Justin O’Brien). Most notably, this production was presented by the English Stage Company in association with Oscar Lewenstein, featuring an incredible multi-star billing of international screen icons Diane Cilento, Claire Bloom, Basil Sydney, and Kenneth Haigh. The programme also features exceptional mid-century local Tyneside corporate advertisements.

The central binding layout is tightly intact, and all bold typography, the Primula cheese tube illustrations, and the theatre billing remain perfectly sharp and legible.
