This event at Birmingham’s historic Embassy Sportsdrome features some of the biggest characters of the era, including the heavy-hitting main event and a fantastic international clash between the iconic Prince Kumali and Yuri Borienko (who later gained fame as a James Bond movie henchman).
Up for sale is an authentic, original 4-page official program from the classic 1960s era of British wrestling. This event at Birmingham’s historic Embassy Sportsdrome features some of the biggest characters of the era, including the heavy-hitting main event and a fantastic international clash between the iconic Prince Kumali and Yuri Borienko (who later gained fame as a James Bond movie henchman).
The interior includes the full match card layout, referee/timekeeper credits, and the vintage venue membership application form for the Embassy Bingo Club.
Collector’s Note on Markings:
The front cover features a handwritten date (“3/5/65”) and a small catalog number (“704”) in the top right corner. The interior match card features light vintage ink markings where the original attendee recorded the winners/scores (e.g., noting “Won”, “DISQ”, and point numbers next to the wrestlers). This adds great historical authenticity, showing exactly how the night played out.
