Item description

Up for sale is an incredibly rare, highly collectible piece of British heritage wrestling ephemera: the official March 1965 matchday programme for an international card in Chelmsford.
Staged during the height of the 1960s televised wrestling boom under Joint Promotions, the card features legendary names that defined the era. The main event pits Danish Heavyweight Champion Leif Rasmussen against the iconic “Iron Man” of Cheshire, Steve Veider. The card also features a legendary Light-Heavyweight bout starring the celebrated showman Johnny Kwango, famous for his trademark headbutts and athletic style, taking on Belgian champion Jan Browers. This 4-page bulletin serves as an exceptional historical record of the mid-1960s British ring landscape. A premier acquisition for serious professional wrestling historians and vintage sports ephemera archivists.
