Historical Background: This is an authentic 11cm length for a Victorian-era Royal Navy dress uniform accessory, dating approximately between 1850 and 1890. During this period, the British Royal Navy was the most powerful maritime force in the world. Officers were required to purchase their own high-quality equipment, and this piece is a classic example of that luxury craftsmanship.
It features the signature Victorian scalloped bottom edge and a raised floral boss, which were popular decorative flourishes of the 1827 Pattern tradition. These mounts were originally gilt in gold to withstand the harsh sea air and remain bright for formal parades.

Design: Intricate hand-engraved scrollwork and linear patterns.
Features: Includes the original suspension ring and decorative floral boss.
