Struck in solid brass during the Great War era, this item is topped by the classic King’s Crown and includes its original long vertical slider attachment directly on the reverse side. The Shropshire Yeomanry was a historic yeomanry cavalry regiment of the British Army that saw active service during the First World War, serving in Egypt, Palestine, and on the Western Front. Their emblem incorporates the three leopard faces taken directly from the historic coat of arms of the county of Shropshire. This King’s Crown variation with a smooth vertical slider was designed for easy insertion into the fabric band of a soldier’s service cap or side hat.
