This is a genuine, vintage collector’s piece featuring an original hand-signed newspaper photograph cutting of legendary English striker Clive “Super” Mendonca during his prolific era with Grimsby Town FC. The front features a crisp black-and-white action shot of Mendonca controlling a Mitre football, measuring exactly 10cm x 15.5cm. It is hand-signed with an authentic marker autograph in the upper left corner. The bottom border includes a handwritten identifier reading “Clive Mendonca (Charlton)”. The reverse side features a fascinating piece of footballing history, showing a contemporary 1990s newspaper clipping reporting on Brian Horton’s squad management at Huddersfield Town. Clive Mendonca is revered as a cult hero in English football. He scored 61 goals in 166 appearances for Grimsby Town between 1992 and 1997 before moving to Charlton Athletic, where he famously scored a hat-trick in the legendary 1998 First Division play-off final at Wembley. This autograph is a genuine relic from the mid-1990s, beautifully preserved on a contemporary sports page cutting from the same English football league era.
