Item History
Delftware (or Delft Blauw) originated in the Netherlands in the 17th century as a localized alternative to Chinese blue-and-white porcelain. This specific piece was manufactured by Elesva, a mid-to-late 20th-century pottery importer and decorator brand renowned for distributing authentic, hand-decorated Dutch souvenirs and tableware from Holland. During this era, miniature porcelain objects equipped with delicate brass hinges became highly popular collector items across Europe, blending everyday whimsical shapes like this tea-for-two scene with centuries-old ceramic traditions.
