Up for sale is a genuine, original 1969 vintage football programme from the international friendly match between England and Portugal at Wembley Stadium.
This historic match ended in a 1-0 victory for Sir Alf Ramsey’s England side, with the winning goal scored by John Astle. This is a fantastic piece of late 1960s football memorabilia, packed with period advertisements (such as Embassy, Radio Times, and a cartoon strip feature for Double Diamond beer), a detailed preview of the upcoming World Cup in Mexico ’70 featuring full qualifying tables, a Wembley Top Ten quiz, and extensive player pen-portraits detailing the visiting Portuguese side.
