For sale is a 100% genuine, original British Army 7th (Princess Royal’s) Dragoon Guards white metal cap badge. This is the scarcer, highly sought-after early 1898–1906 pattern insignia. The design features a sharply detailed lion rampant emerging from a ducal coronet crown, sitting above a sweeping title banner reading “7th DRAGOON GUARDS”.

The reverse features its two original, intact copper loop (lug) fastenings, which are characteristic of early cavalry issue headdress badges before the post-1906 transition to sliders. This is a crisp, premium strike with fantastic definition across the lion’s mane, face, and the crown detailing visible from both sides.

Condition:
The badge is in excellent vintage / used condition with a wonderful natural, uncleaned silver-grey patina.
