Original 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars Bi-Metal Cap Badge. This is a genuine, scarce example of the short-lived Queen’s Crown (St. Edward’s Crown) pattern worn by the 8th Hussars between 1953 and their amalgamation in 1958.
Details:
Maker Mark: Clearly stamped “J.R. GAUNT LONDON” on the slider.
Construction: Bi-metal (White metal angel harp on brass scroll).
Condition: Good vintage condition with a solid, original slider. Features a natural aged patina and minor verdigris on the reverse, which confirms its age and authenticity.
