Item History
This extra-long style of solid brass toasting fork dates back to the late Victorian or Edwardian era (circa 1890–1910). Unlike more common iron tools, solid brass items were premium household pieces designed to match high-end brass coal scuttles and companion sets. The extended 63cm size was specifically crafted to protect the user from the intense radiant heat of deep Victorian fireplace hearths.
