The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards is a senior cavalry regiment of the British Army formed in 1971 by merging the Royal Scots Greys and the 3rd Carabiniers. The eagle emblem honors the famous historic charge by the Royal Scots Greys at Waterloo in 1815.
