Description: An exceptional, 100% original World War I era British Army Glengarry cap badge to the historic Scottish line infantry regiment, the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. This specific piece is a prime example of a true “issued and worn” battlefield badge.
The Issued Curve: The badge features a distinct, deliberate curved contour. This was meticulously done by the original soldier during the Great War so the oversized badge would wrap seamlessly and sit perfectly flush against the rounded side of the wool Glengarry cap.
Fixing System: The reverse features the authentic two copper lugs setup, complete with its original vintage pin. The lugs are completely original with no modern repairs.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. It shows a wonderful, untouched natural patina with minor age-related wear. It has not been aggressively polished, preserving its historical character.Perfect for militaria collectors, Scottish regimental historians, or replacement headwear insignia.
