Genuine WW1 Glenalmond School Officers’ Training Corps OTC Brass Shoulder Title.
Product History & Significance: This is a guaranteed 100% original, scarce die-cast brass shoulder title worn by cadets of the Glenalmond College Officers’ Training Corps (Junior Division).
Located in Perthshire, Scotland, Glenalmond College established its OTC contingent following the landmark Haldane Reforms of 1908.When the First World War broke out in 1914, these public school training units became an essential pipeline for commissioning young officers into the British Army.
This exact design—featuring “GLENALMOND” in an elegant arch over “OTC”—was worn on the service dress uniforms of young cadets preparing for deployment to the Western Front. It represents a poignant piece of Scottish military and social history from the Great War era.
