Item History
- Wartime Service: The Hampshire Regiment expanded massively during the First World War, raising a total of 36 battalions. They served with immense distinction on the Western Front, at Gallipoli, in Salonika, Egypt, and Mesopotamia.
- Design Background: The walking tiger was awarded to the regiment to honor their legendary 26-year deployment in India during the early 19th century. The central rose is the historic Hampshire Rose symbol.
