For sale is a 100% genuine, original British Army Liverpool Scottish (Cameron Highlanders) white metal cap badge. This highly collectible historic Territorial Force insignia features the detailed figure of St. Andrew holding a large saltire cross, perfectly framed by a classic wreath of thistles and laurel leaves. The flowing multi-part scroll reads “LIVERPOOL SCOTTISH” across the center and “CAMERON” across the bottom base.

This is a beautiful, crisp strike with excellent definition remaining across St. Andrew’s robes, beard, and the text layout.

Brief Regimental History:
The Liverpool Scottish was originally formed in 1900 as a volunteer unit of Scottish expats living in Liverpool, eventually becoming the 10th Battalion of the King’s Regiment in 1908. During World War I, they were one of the first Territorial units to land in France, fighting with legendary bravery at the Battle of Hooge, the Somme, and Ypres. Because of their unique double heritage as a Liverpool unit wearing full highland dress, their original insignia is incredibly popular and highly sought after by both Scottish and regional English militaria collectors.
