• Item: Hungarian People’s Army Aviation Specialist Badge.
• Grade: 3rd Class qualification rating.
• Design: Waving red flag, Hungarian tricolor border, shield with number “3”, and winged propeller emblem on a light blue enamel bar.
• Reverse: Original dual flat uniform prongs and small screw-back hex nut.
• Condition: Clean enamel work, solid intact attachments, authentic age patina.

• Era: Cold War (circa 1970s–1980s).
• Origin: Communist-era People’s Republic of Hungary (Warsaw Pact alliance).
• Purpose: Awarded to Air Force pilots, flight crews, or aviation engineers who passed technical proficiency exams.
• Status: Discontinued in 1990 after the collapse of the communist regime, making it a highly collectible piece of Eastern Bloc history.
