Up for sale is an authentic vintage King’s Own Scottish Borderers (KOSB) Cap Badge. This iconic Scottish regiment insignia features the Castle of Edinburgh at the center, surrounded by a circular garter belt bearing the unit title. The central emblem sits upon a St. Andrew’s Saltire cross, framed by a detailed wreath of Scottish thistles, and is surmounted by the King’s Crown (Tudor Crown) with the royal lion crest at the very peak.
This original piece is constructed entirely from solid White Metal. The reverse side features its original dual copper wire attachment loops (lugs) spaced exactly 20 mm apart. This original piece is highly collectible and perfect for military specialists, Scottish ancestry historians, or display collections.

History of the Insignia
The King’s Own Scottish Borderers was a famed line infantry regiment of the British Army, originally raised in 1689 to defend Edinburgh. The badge carries immense historical symbolism, including the motto “Nisi Dominus Frustra” (Except the Lord in Vain, the motto of Edinburgh) and “In Veritate Religionis Confido” (In the Truth of Religion I Trust).
