Description
Up for auction or sale is a genuine, obsolete New Zealand Police Chrome Helmet Plate. This piece of law enforcement history features the central interlocking NZP cypher nestled within a traditional New Zealand fern wreath, all surmounted by the Queen’s Crown. A wonderful addition for any collector of global police memorabilia or Commonwealth insignia.
Condition
Used / For Parts or Repair. The front face of the chrome plate displays a bright finish with minimal wear. On the reverse, the badge retains its threaded top post and one stabilizing lug. However, one of the lower side stabilizing lugs is broken and missing. Please inspect all photos closely to review the back-mounting structure before bidding.
Item History
This badge is an official, obsolete issue item from the Queen Elizabeth II era of the New Zealand Police force. It was originally mounted directly to the front of the traditional navy blue police cork helmets. It comes from a clean, smoke-free environment.
