This is a 100% Original Press Photograph capturing an intense action moment from the iconic 1966 World Cup match between Brazil and Portugal played at Goodison Park, Liverpool, on July 19th. The image features Brazilian goalie MANGA diving at the feet of colleague ALDO and an unidentified Portuguese forward. The front includes the original historic typewritten press caption printed directly along the lower margin. The reverse side carries the official purple “Copyright Associated Press Photo” ink stamp. This physical photograph was printed by the Associated Press in London directly from the camera negative for distribution to newspaper newsrooms on July 19th, 1966. This specific game is globally famous as the match where Eusebio scored twice to lead Portugal to a 3-1 victory, sensationally knocking the reigning World Champions, Brazil, completely out of the tournament.
