Authentic Victorian Scottish Regimental Insignia For sale is an original white metal Glengarry badge for the 2nd Battalion, The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). This specific pattern, featuring the “SR” initials, was standard for “Other Ranks” and was worn between 1882 and 1900.
Product Details: Design: A crisp, high-relief strike featuring a French bugle horn with the regimental initials “SR” at the center, surmounted by a traditional bow and double tassels.
Reverse Fittings: This badge is complete with its two original copper lug (loop) fittings, which are securely fixed. The reverse clearly shows the authentic “die-struck” manufacturing process.
Material: Struck in white metal with a fine aged patina.
Historical Context: The 2nd Battalion was formed from the 90th Perthshire Light Infantry. This badge is a rare survivor from the late Victorian period.
