This is an authentic, genuine World War I era British Army military cap badge for the Royal Scots Fusiliers. The front showcases the iconic “flaming grenade” design with a beautifully detailed Royal Coat of Arms surmounted by the King’s Crown (KC).
The reverse features two completely intact, original brass loop lugs spaced 50mm apart. Notably, this antique piece still retains its original long brass hairpin-style fixing cotter pin threaded through the top lug, which is rarely found intact. This is an exceptional piece of authentic Scottish military heritage, perfect for badge enthusiasts, Great War militaria collectors, or historical displays.

Item History
This specific flaming grenade pattern was worn by the Royal Scots Fusiliers regiment throughout the Great War (WWI) and up until 1959. Raised originally in 1678, the regiment has a fiercely distinguished combat history, heavily serving on the Western Front during WWI. This King’s Crown variant represents a crucial piece of mid-20th-century British and Scottish military service.
