Historical :The Lovat Scouts were an elite Scottish Highland regiment originally formed by Lord Lovat during the Second Boer War. Renowned for their incredible fieldcraft, observation, and sharpshooting skills, they went on to make military history. In 1916, the Lovat Scouts formally became the British Army’s very first sniper unit, famously introducing the camouflage Ghillie Suit into modern warfare. This badge represents a legendary brotherhood of Highland gamekeepers, stalkers, and elite marksmen who served with distinction through both World Wars.
