Item Description
Up for sale is a high-quality post-war veterans replacement or commemorative regimental badge for the Polish Army 3rd Regiment of Mounted Riflemen (3 Pułk Strzelców Konnych, or 3 S.K.).
The front showcases a beautiful crowned Polish military eagle overlaying a multi-colored enameled cross set inside a shield-shaped sunburst border. The reverse is fitted with a threaded screw post and comes complete with its original brass spinner nut. The spinner nut is clearly stamped with the famous maker mark of the Andrzej Panasiuk engraving workshop in Warsaw, Poland.
This piece is a classic post-war commemorative issue, expertly crafted by Panasiuk to serve as a replacement piece for veterans or as an official officer-grade space filler for military insignia displays. It features the beautiful heavy metal weight and excellent ceramic enameling that this specific Warsaw workshop is celebrated for.

Historical Background
The 3rd Mounted Riflemen Regiment was a celebrated cavalry unit of the interwar Polish Republic, drawing its heritage back to the Napoleonic era of 1807. Based out of Wolkowysk, the regiment fought with immense distinction during the Polish-Bolshevik War and the defensive September Campaign of 1939. Because almost all original pre-war badges were lost or confiscated during World War II and the subsequent communist era, premier private Warsaw makers like Panasiuk were authorized to strike these high-quality replacement badges for veterans’ groups, families, and historical archives.
