Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic 1863 antique woodblock engraving print depicting the bustling colonial harbor of Port Louis, Mauritius. This exquisite mid-19th-century view shows masted tall ships and local fishing vessels anchored against the dramatic mountain backdrops of the island.
The print originates from page 76 of Arthur Mangin’s celebrated historical travel work, Voyages et Découvertes Outre-Mer au XIXe Siècle, published in France in 1863. The original artwork was drawn by the legendary French marine artist Henri Durand-Brager.
