Description: Rare 100-Year-Old West Ham Football HistoryThis is an exceptional, original sterling silver and enamel medal awarded to the West Ham Football Club (District League) Division II Winners for the legendary 1923/24 season.

Historical Significance:This medal dates from a golden era for the Hammers, occurring just one year after the famous “White Horse” FA Cup Final at Wembley. It represents the height of East End football history. 

Prestigious Maker & Hallmarks:

Maker: Double-marked by the world-renowned Vaughton & Sons of Birmingham—the official makers of the FA Cup and Football League trophies.

Rare Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for the Chester Assay Office, 1925 (Date letter ‘z’). Chester silver is highly sought after by collectors because the office closed in 1962.

Design: Features a crisp, red enameled “Prague Shield” on the front with professional engraving on the reverse.

Condition: Outstanding antique condition. The silver has a beautiful aged patina, the enamel is vibrant, and all hallmarks (Three Wheat Sheaves, Lion Passant, and Date Letter Z) are sharp and legible.
