Description:
Up for sale is a genuine Royal Army Chaplains’ Department (RAChD) cap badge for a chaplain of the Jewish faith. This is an original, service-issued piece featuring the St. Edward’s Crown (Queen’s Crown), dating it to the era of Queen Elizabeth II (post-1953).
Item Details:
Design: Features the Magen David (Star of David) set within a laurel wreath, topped by the Royal Crown. The center of the star features the traditional RAChD quatrefoil motif.
Construction: High-quality die-struck metal with a professional blackened (bronzed) finish, typically worn with No. 2 Dress or Field Service uniforms.
Reverse: The badge is fitted with two original copper/brass lugs and comes complete with its original brass split pin (cotter pin) for secure attachment to headdress.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The blackened finish is well-preserved with minimal wear. Please see photos for a detailed view of the front and back.
