Up for sale is an authentic newspaper cutting featuring a black and white press photograph hand signed by former professional French footballer Stephane Mahe. The picture shows Mahe smiling in front of the empty stands at Celtic Park stadium with a printed caption reading PARADISE FOUND Mahe says Parkhead is ideal place to kick start his career. History
Stephane Mahe is an accomplished French former professional footballer who famously became the very first Frenchman to ever play for Scottish giants Celtic FC. He arrived at Parkhead in July 1997 following prominent stints in his homeland with Auxerre and Paris Saint-Germain. This specific news clipping dates right to his arrival in Glasgow when he famously declared the club’s stadium known to fans as Paradise to be the perfect location to revitalize his career. Mahe went on to capture six trophies in Scotland and played an iconic role in the historic side that stopped rivals Rangers from securing ten league titles in a row.
