Genuine British Army Antique Militaria – Collectible Cap Badge
Up for sale is an authentic, original Victorian-era brass cap badge for the 23rd Regiment of Foot (Royal Welsh Fusiliers). This early-issue pattern features a highly detailed, 17-flame grenade explosion top. The lower circular ball design features a voided center showcasing the historic regimental number “23”, surrounded by a textured garter belt reading “ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS”.
The reverse features the classic early-pattern twin copper lug fastening loops spaced at 30mm. This badge pattern was heavily utilized by troops during the late Victorian period on Glengarry and early field service caps.
