Rare Vintage 1934 S.S. “Orontes” Ocean Liner Cinema Program – A Southern Maid
Up for sale is a fantastic, authentic piece of maritime and film history. This original single-sheet cinema program card was distributed aboard the famous Orient Line passenger ship S.S. Orontes during the mid-1930s (circa 1934).
The program details an evening movie screening held in the ship’s Ballroom at 9:00 p.m., featuring the popular British musical film “A Southern Maid“ starring Bebe Daniels, Clifford Mollison, Harry Welchman, and Lupino Lane. The bill also lists a supporting short film titled “Lucky Gym”.
Features the beautiful, crisp red Orient Line crest stamped at the top of the card.
