Vintage 1970s Galleon Ship in a Bottle Handmade Folk Art 20cm DIN V 7 III stamp

Up for sale is a beautiful vintage 1970s handmade ship in a bottle folk art display piece. Encased inside a clear glass bottle is a detailed model of a classic three-masted sailing galleon vessel, styled to resemble historic British naval ships from the golden age of sail.

The ship features intricate thread rigging, layered canvas sails, a painted green and white geometric hull, and miniature flags displayed at the mastheads. The ship is securely mounted onto a textured, painted blue sea base that creates an ocean wave effect. The neck of the bottle is tightly sealed with a cork plug wrapped in a traditional thick, red textured sealing wax compound. The bottle rests on two small built-in wooden display feet along the bottom to keep it perfectly balanced on a shelf or desk. The base of the bottle features the distinct industrial glass stamps DIN, V, 7, and III.

Pre-owned / Vintage. This item is in excellent vintage display condition. The glass bottle is remarkably clean and completely free of chips, deep cracks, or structural fractures. Inside, the model ship remains perfectly preserved and securely anchored to its base with all rigging threads perfectly intact and sails properly positioned. The blue-painted sea material on the bottom shows tight, natural age-related drying lines as visible in the close-up photos, which is standard for 1970s putty bases and adds to its authentic charm.
